Natalie Clay is Awarded Elton Prize!
April 16, 2018
Natalie was awarded the British Ecological Society Elton Prize for best paper by an early career scientist published in the Journal of Animal Ecology. Along with Mike Kaspari and Ricky Lehrter, this research demonstrates that omnivory has a geography in part driven by access to sodium. Congratulations to Casey!
Congratulations to Madison!
Congratulations to Jesse!
Congratulations to Connor!December, 2017
Congratulations to Connor on his recent Louisiana Tech College of Applied and Natural Science Student Mini Research Grant to look at how low-level sodium input impact riparian vegetation. Congratulations to Casey!
December, 2017
Congratulations to Casey on his recent Louisiana Tech College of Applied and Natural Science Student Mini Research Grant to continue looking at ant diversity in coarse woody debris. Casey and Natalie Attend EntSoc Meeting
New paper published from the Clay Lab
August, 201y
In collaboration with Mike Kaspari (OU) and Ricky Lehrter (KSU), we show that omnivores increase carnivory when sodium is limiting in a large-scale study published in Journal of Animal Ecology: Towards a geography of omnivory: omnivores increase carnivory when sodium is limiting. NSF EAGER Award!
June 2, 2017
In collaboration with John Riggins (MSU), Courtney Siegert (MSU) and Juliet Tang (USDA Forest Service), we will be looking at how a fungal-mediated interaction between bark beetles and termites mediate wood decomposition across a range of fungi, termite, pine, and beetle diversities and densities in Mississippi, Arizona and Honduras. Congratulations to Jesse!
December 12, 2016
Biology undergraduate Jesse Cone receives $500.00 from the Louisiana Tech ANS Undergraduate Student Research Mini-Grant to study density-dependent growth in a common generalist lepidopteran herbivore. Congratulations Jesse! Congratulations to Casey!
